Compared to your new songs, this one is absolutely amazing and shadows them all. I really can’t complain about your instruments in this one. Dubstep is a good genre but I think you could make it much farther into the industry if you stuck to house and dance. However, I recommend using something like Maximus on your percussion to make it stand out. And maybe use some high pass filters on your drums. The lack of a sub bass kinda turns this song off, though.

Definitely an improvement over your last song I reviewed. I mean, yeah, the instruments are a litle unclean, but overall, it’s good.

But, there are a few sounds you’re missing.

First: a heavy-hitting synth. This is the insignia of the DnB genre. It provides a clear yet acidic guide for tone in the song.
Second: a real, liquid and growling bass. You can keep your current chords, but, I mean, those won’t be enough. Using FM synthesizers like Sytrus or FM8 can give you a leg up on these tasks. FM synthesis can give crunchy bass sounds AND smooth, liquidy sounds if you mix it with a vocoder, unison and chorus.
Third: this isn’t really a sound, but rather an idea that you’re missing. Don’t be afraid to focus on more than one instrument at a time. You can easily draw attention to one sound even if your other instruments are playing a supporting melody in the background.

One last element I might suggest is trying to change your style in the middle of your song. In a second drop or whatever you might have, I would recommend maybe halving the speed of your drums, i.e. not having a drum every beat but resting for a beat after a kick and then hitting a snare, and some variations upon this principle.

However, I know I can be overly picky. You’re probably doing fine and I’m just over-evaluating. Also, I might like to do a remix of one of your tracks someday.

Your kick and snare don’t stand out, like you said in the description. Maybe run it through a channel with Maximus, it’s a very good EQ, especially for percussion. Also, if you’ve got Sytrus, I recommend using that for some of your basses. Maybe resample and use a vocoder if you wanna make it sound liquid, with some nice background-ish growls. Also, I don’t hear much reverb in this song! It’d make it a hell of a lot better.

In addition, try having more variation, like occasional breaks in the drums. Maybe change your drumset entirely while in a drop, and apply reverb.

Also, your growls sound like they’re all irregular waveforms with maybe a lowpass filter(?). Try creating a patcher preset to play both your bass sound and a simple sub-bass sound (3xOsc works fine for this, just change the base note to C7 or C8).

In conclusion, your music seems like it could really be good in the future. You just need to learn some of the fundamental ‘ins and outs’ of the EDM scene.

Dude thank you for the tips! I'll make sure to use them in future songs

This isn't actually that bad. Pretty nice gun/weapon art.
